I read about the Chalk art festival in the newspaper and thought the kids would really enjoy it. So after Princess camp was over we all headed up to the Gateway. We took the kids to the fountains to run around for a little while. McKay liked it, except that he drags his feet when he crawls so anything on concrete he ends up with bloody feet. After we played for a while Uncle Devin and Grandpa met us to go to dinner. We walked by the all of the chalk art on the way to dinner and the kids loved it!
We went to California Pizza kitchen for dinner, everyone loves pizza! We had super yummy Strawberry shortcake for dessert! Afterwards the kids really wanted to walk back through the chalk art to see if there was more done.
The artists had gotten quite a bit more done just while we were at dinner.
It was really fun to see all of the fun pieces. The kids loved guessing what they were and then looking at the picture of what it was going to be.
They also had a area at the end where they had buckets of sidewalk chalk for the kids. So the kids loved drawing their own pictures to.
I would definitely suggest it and go again!
