We never have really been able to have a Birthday party for McKay because of the risk of sickness. But we thought this year we would have a party with him, with all of his family. We kept it a smaller party but I of course still had to have a theme so we went with Bubble Guppies.
We had some Bubble Guppies decorations, cupcakes, favors and some coloring pages to do as well. The kids wanted me to make a game we saw online so we had Fishketball (From the Bubble Guppies) game that the kids could play as well. We had yummy cafe rio salads for dinner and one of McKay's favorites quesdillas for the kids.
We asked most people to chip in with the bigger gifts that McKay was getting this year. He got a few other fun gifts from the family as well. His big gifts were a new I pad (his is on the fritz) and a weighted blanket. I have been reading about weighted blankets for a while and thought it could be something really good for McKay. I even found a lady locally here in Utah that found Bubble Guppies fabric for me!
McKay didn't really have much interest in the party, or the cupcakes. He was content to watch his Bubble Guppies and have a bowl of cookies!
But we were so glad that we were able to have all of the family over to our new house and celebrate McKay!
