Easter Festivities

We had a VERY busy Easter weekend. We started the morning with our traditional Easter egg hunt at the Ford's neighborhood. They have everyone chip in for eggs and bring something to share for breakfast. My kids love running around with their friends to hunt for their eggs.

McKay even got in on the action a little this year. He still didn't want to have much to do with the eggs. But at least he was willing to walk around while we picked them up!
The breakfast was fun and it was nice to visit with all of our friends from that neighborhood.

After the neighborhood hunt we headed back home and I decided to take Carson and Brynnley over to our neighborhood Easter egg hunt. They had a TON  of eggs and candy. I couldn't believe how much they had. Sadly we ended up in the wrong place for Carson's age, so he didn't get a ton. But Brynnley made a major haul and was willing to share with Carson. It was a lot of fun though and nice to meet a few more people from the hood.
After McKay's nap we headed back up to the Ford's for the Ford family Easter egg hunt. As usual, it does not disappoint! Kelli fills hundred's of eggs and takes hours to do so. It is a full family affair, so everyone is out there hunting!

The money eggs are also usually a big hit!

The night before Easter the kids kept saying "I really hope the Easter bunny takes us on a scavenger hunt for our baskets." The Easter bunny was feeling a little tired, but thank heavens for Pinterest! The Easter bunny was able to deliver with a short scavenger hunt to find their baskets!

We had a great Easter Sunday at church and then headed up to the Ford's for dinner with the family for Easter. It was a fabulous weekend! I don't think we could have fit in any more Easter activities if we wanted to!
