The kids were lucky enough to participate in "Run the Ridge" at Ridgeline elementary. They set up a track on the field in the back of the school with lots of fun obstacles and have the kids run around. They are trying to promote healthiness and staying fit and active. The kids were so excited about it. I went over to watch Brynn run, she of course took off running and then slowed down after she got tired. But she loved running it with her friends. I am proud of her for running even when she got a side ache!

This was Carson's second year doing Run the Ridge, so he knew what to expect and was crazy excited about it. For weeks he would talk about how many laps he was going to do. (Last year they kept track of laps, but they did away with it this year). Carson was on the very front of the starting line and took off like lightning. Unlike his sister, he has some competitive nature and does a lot more running than she does because of soccer. I was there the entire time Carson was running, helping with one of the obstacles. He never stopped running, most the kids in his class started walking but he did not. He ran the entire time! Every time he would come by me he would start running faster too. It was such a fun school activity and my kids loved it!
