So my sister scrambled around with all of us to come up with a plan. We headed up to the zoo. It was a lot of fun. We haven't been up to the zoo in the winter other than zoo lights, so it was fun to see some of the animals more active. Plus there were not very many people there so no crowds!
Carson and Brynnley were excited to show everyone around and tell them where all the animals were. We are zoo experts!
After the zoo we headed back down to my sisters house for some lunch. We came home and took some naps and then headed up to Kyle's parents house. Below is a picture of the "wrapping paper tube" fight of 2010. Let's just say it was a good time!
After dinner we headed out to look at the Christmas lights. We use to do it when I was little and the Ford's use to do it a lot too. We have gone with the Ford's Christmas Eve night "light looking" for the past few years. The kids love it and look forward to it each year. They know where the good houses are, including the one that "dances" along to the music. We also found a "winner" of a house this year, hands down most lights and light up toys I have ever seen in one house. Plus we drove up through Alpine, Carson thinks its magical up there.
We opened our Christmas jammies and books. Carson was pumped up to get Batman and superman jammies, he couldn't decide which ones to wear. Brynnley's jammies said "I love to twirl", she of course loved them and couldn't stop twirling for us. I think McKay looks so adorable in his!
We put on costumes and read a quick version of the real Christmas story. Carson was a shepherd with Grandpa, Brynnley was and Angel with Grandma (They gave us a fabulous version of the Hallelujiah chorus). Kyle was Joseph (He gave us a wonderful rendition similar to the Vince Vaughn version from Four Christmas's). I was Mary with my "baby Jesus" McKay.
We came home and put our "cold" milk and cookies out for Santa and put our glittery reindeer dust outside for the reindeer.
