It is a family tradition to go up to Zoo lights. It is one of my favorite things to do. Combines two fabulous things, the zoo and Christmas lights! We went with Kyle's family this year. We actually lucked out and got a pretty warm night, there was a light drizzle of rain but not too bad. We have been when it is so bitterly cold we have to rush through the lights. This year they added quite a few new lights. It was so much fun and the kids loved it. This year you could also visit Santa and his reindeer. Carson had told me numerous times that day that he was really excited for the zoo lights but did not want to see Santa. We got to where Santa was and Carson wouldn't even go within 50 feet of the building. He stayed outside with Grandma and Grandpa. We took Sadie and Brynnley in to see Santa Clause. Sadie didn't want anything to do with him and was ready to get out. Brynnley was nervous (you can tell because she puts her hands in her mouth). She liked to look at him from a distance but strongly said "I don't want to sit with him."
We also took a ride on the carousel, one of the kids favorite parts.McKay as usual was a dream. He didn't make a peep the whole time. When we were walking back down to the front I looked down and noticed he had dozed off. He must have been warm and snuggly!
