K for Kaysville 4th of July

Kyle sister Heather lives in Kaysville and last year they went to the 4th of July celebration and they said we had to come this year. It was a lot of fun and did not disappoint. We got spots saved for the parade (thanks to the men who went early and stayed to save the spots). Afterwards we headed over to the field close to our parade spot where they had lots of bounce house and fun activities. My kids loved running from bounce house to bounce house.
Afterwards we went and sat down for the parade. I love parades, but this one was the craziest parade I have ever seen. They throw tons and tons of candy, but through out the whole parade. So no one really sits because all the kids are trying to get the candy and all the adults are trying to save candy catching spots and help the kids. The kids loved it, but it was a little chaotic.

(It was hot and humid up there, McKay runs hotter than other kids so he was incredibly sweaty and we were having a hard time keep him cooled down, hence the sweaty picture)
After the parade we went to Heather and Devin's house for a 4th of July lunch. We had chicken salad and fruit and veggies. Yum! The kids also played with water balloons and we got out the sprinkler. It was pretty overcast so they didn't' last long in the water.
McKay kept trying to grab my plate so I gladly let him hold it to see if he would try something new. He picked up the watermelon, but didn't really eat it. Still a cute pic!
This picture just makes me laugh, it isn't what it seems because it is the sprinkler. I just think it looks hilarious with his big grin!
That evening we went to another BBQ at our friends the Hansen's house. They just finished their incredible yard and it is amazing and gorgeous. They even put in a little splash pad for their grandkids! The kids loved running through and having fun. The food was delicious and the company great!We went over to our friends house the Fountaine's that night to do a few fireworks with them. Then we sat in their backyard to watch the big fireworks from Thanksgiving Point. It was wonderful holiday. A little bit on the exhausting side, but so much fun!
