What's missing?
No tubes! We had a great McKay week! We had his weekly pediatrician appointment and he felt like he was ready for his STAT overnight test. You get a regular STAT monitor and it records their breathing for 12 hours. You take them off the oxygen completely and see how they do. As Kyle and I were incredibly excited, we were also incredibly nervous. He went in and checked on him a couple of times before bed. I would roll over every hour or so and check the numbers on the monitor to see where he was at. But we got a call 2 days later that he had passed and could come off the oxygen and heart monitor!
So good bye to you and the 50 feet of tubing that me and the dog are constantly tripping over!!!
When we were at our pediatricians on Wednesday he said he looked great. His weight is already up to 11 lbs. 11 oz! He said everything on his end is pretty much resolved. He doesn't need to see him any extra than his well checks!
He asked me how I thought he was doing and I said "He seems like a regular newborn to me". He agreed. It's been a long, long, long, 10 1/2 weeks. But we finally have our healthy baby!
*We still have an appointment with the geneticist at Primary's in a couple of weeks. There is also a geneticist who is in Chicago that may want to look at him as well. He could still possibly need an MRI in the next few months. But he is looking good!

How wonderful! How wonderful! Your family is so blessed! We are so happy to see little McKay without all of the paraphernalia. Having him seem like a normal newborn is a miracle! We can't wait to see him, too! Love, Grandpa and Grandma Randall
He's adorable! It sounds like a lot of good news and that is fantastic! I hope that from hear on out you all have a lot less stress and a lot more enjoyment from the little guy! Hope things continue to look up!

Congratulations! We are so excited for you. You've been a trooper through it all.
I am slow, but that's wonderful and it sounds like things are still holding without all that stuff. We continue to exercise our faith and prayers for McKay and all of you.
