California Adventure

We love us some California Adventure. It really is hard to say which park is our favorite, we spent about equal amount of time in each park. Brynnley loved the new Little Mermaid ride, I am not even sure how many times we rode it. I loved it because it always had a short line and everyone could go on it. It was one of my favorites as well.
We also LOVE Toy Story mania, lost track of how many times we went on that one as well. Of course it was every one's goal to get the ultimate high score. Kyle still claims that time we rode together his "aimer" was broken, I beg to differ. Luckily, we had a disability pass for McKay (came in SUPER helpful) so we used this multiple times because the line was so long. McKay for sure rode this ride more than anyone. The pass was only good for 6 people and McKay had to go with whoever had the pass.

Carson loved the Grizzly rapids, he went on it a couple of times the rainy day then talked a few of us onto going on it again. It was one of his favorite rides. Brynn saw a Mickey pretzel the first day we were there and begged every day after that for a Mickey pretzel, she got one the last day. We also had our fair share of super yummy churros and Disney ice cream, all requirements for a fabulous Disney trip!

So we had a major first experience this Disney trip. We broke down on a ride and had to be escorted off! It was pretty crazy! It seemed like there were a lot of rides breaking down while we were there, not sure why.l But the last day we were there Carson really wanted to go on Goofy's Sky school again. So he went with me and Grandma. About half way through the ride it came to a screeching halt and we got stuck. We all sat there calmly and thought we would get going soon. Ten minutes later, the workers and a maintenance guy came and let us off the ride. They were super careful about getting us all out, and making sure we held onto the railing the whole time. The ride worker was not to thrilled we took this picture, I think he even said "I'm not sure this is allowed." But we had to document the event. We then had to walk down 2 flights of stairs to get off. What an experience!

We also went to World of Color the last night while we were there. Truthfully we actually watched it every night from our hotel. Our hotel room overlooked the entire California Adventure park with an amazing view of the bay they have World of Color. Kyle and I would sit out there most nights and just watch the show and talk. Kelli and David sat out with the kids on the balcony and watched the show one night as well. It truly was heavenly, and had to be one of my favorite parts of the trip. (Thanks again Dr and Kellster for letting us have that room, next time it is for sure your turn). We thought we should go down and see it in the park one time though. So we fought the lines and pushing and watched. It was a little hard to see, Carson fell asleep for the whole thing and I was wishing I was peacefully sitting on my balcony with my feet up. But it was beautiful and is breathtaking.
