C-Chalkart Festival

Last year we discovered the Chalk art festival up in Salt Lake city and I think it is now a tradition for sure! The kids love going up to Gateway and playing in the fountains and then going to look at the chalk. It was a little warmer this year so the kids got in the fountains even more this year. I love all of the pictures, cutestet kids ever!
They also had an amazing snow cone truck right by the fountains, with these GIANT snowcones! We got two to share between all of us. The kids loved them and they were super yummy!

After the fountains and snow cones we walked down the main street of the gatewway mall to look at all of the chalk art. It is amazing what they can make out of chalk and how they do it. I love watching them do it in a grid pattern. We had to go a little earlier in the day this year so we could get Carson to his best friends Brithday party, so the drawings were not quite as far along as they were last year. But the kids still loved looking at them and picking their favorites. One of the kids favorite parts is at the very end where they have an endless supply of sidewalk chalk and a huge area roped off just for the kids to draw and create. The nice thing about going early is the kids practically had the whole space to their selves. So the kids got really creative!
