4th of July 2013

I love the 4th of July. I love why we celebrate it. I love the summer fun. I love spending the day with family and friends! We opted out of doing the hot air balloon festival this year, it just did not work out to find a time to go. But we still met with some of my family to have breakfast at Denny's the morning of the 4th. My kids LOVE going out to breakfast at Denny's, they think it is the best meal ever!
Afterwards we decided to take the kids to park to play for a little bit. The kids had lots of fun running around while the adults visited.
This is how McKay does the park, double fisted with drinks. He LOVES drinks with straws. We actually have to watch him carefully when we go out because he will steal strangers cups just to get a drink from a straw.
We came home and let the kids play and had McKay take a nap and then we headed up to Kaysville. We met the Smith's and David and Kelli at the movie theatre and went to go see Monster's University. It was a cute movie and a nice break from the heat of the day.
Afterwards we headed to the Smith's house for a BBQ. The kids played with water balloons and jumped on the tramp with their cousins. It was great food and we had a lot of fun just visiting.
After dinner we headed home and dropped Kyle and McKay off. We quickly got McKay down to sleep and then I took Carson and Brynnley to meet my family down by Thanksgiving point. Kyle stayed home with McKay while he slept, he was pretty tired and I just wasn't sure how he would react to the fireworks. Hopefully next year he'll be able to see them!

My sister and her family had taken their motor home down early in the afternoon and parked out a bunch of spaces with a great view of the fireworks. They had dinner and played games and then we joined them for dessert. It was so much fun having us all together and having a space for the kids to run around it. We visited and ate dessert, did pop its and got out glowsticks. We were just missing Kyle (I felt really bad he wasn't there once we were all there together)

We did sparklers together and then got everyone situated for the fireworks. We had amazing seats and were right across from the field where they were launching them. It was a perfect day! I loved being able to spend time with both families and celebrate with everyone. It was such a fabulous 4th of July!
