Memorial Day fun

We had a fabulous Memorial day. We probably should have gone up to visit some of my family and graves. But we were all a little too worn out from the temple weekend (my mom told us not to go to, so I can justify it that way!) Kyle only had to work 6 hours! It was a miracle and was SOOOOOOO nice to see him! We had some friends over for lunch and had a BBQ. I love summer and the yummy food and bbq's. It was perfect weather and we were even able to sit outside!

That evening Kyle's family invited us to a picnic at Wheeler farm. It was so much fun! We had delicious steak and chicken grilled by Heather's husband Devin.

Brynnley was loving the watermelon. Every time I turned around she had another piece in her hand. She was also covered in watermelon juice, that is what spray and wash was invented for right?
We also took some bread to feed the ducks. Carson was so excited and talked about it all day. He loved breaking off the bread and throwing it to the ducks. Brynnley however was thrilled by feeding the ducks. I have not seen her that excited in a long time. She just kept running from duck to duck. She would yell very loudly at Grandma when she wanted some more bread to throw, Grandma just was not fast enough with the bread.Brynnley decided, maybe the bread would be tasty to eat too! I think she was just checking to make sure it was okay for the ducks. We had so much fun playing with the kids while we were waiting for dinner. Brynnley just wanted to run around and get the ball from everyone. She would stop every time she saw a bird in the sky and point and yell loudly to make sure that we all saw it too.

Carson also had a lot of fun playing baseball with Grandpa. He is getting better and had a few good hits! He also was loving playing volleyball with Daddy and Aunt Heather. However I do think one of Carson's favorite things there was the stream that was right next to us. He was over there pretty much the whole time. I collected some sticks for him and had him throw them in. He followed them until they went clear down the grate then he would say "Let's do it again!" We went to go find the bathroom, but it took us extra long because he had to pick up every single stick we saw on the way.
We also saw the animals at Wheeler farm (So much to do, so much fun!) Brynnley and Carson of course both loved looking at all of the animals. My favorite was that they had some rats by the pigs, like Templeton in Charlotte's web. It was a little sick, but a good thought!Carson in the tree house, he begged to go over there and we did it very last.

I had to put video of the ducks! Kyle had a phone call while we were feeding the ducks, but he said he could hear Brynnley screaming with excitement all the way on the other side of the park where he was!

Love it! Love it! Wish we could have been there! So much fun! We'd love to go when we get home. All of you loved to feed the ducks when you were little, too. We used to go to the nature park over in Highland across from the subdivision where we lived.
