Lehi Roundup+Summer Fun!

There is something about the Lehi Round up that just brings me back to growing up in small town Lehi and the fun days of high school! I was so excited to take the kids to the parade this year. I knew Carson and Brynnley would love it. We went earlier than we normally go so we could get decent seats. It worked out well and we took doughnuts for us all to eat while we were waiting. Carson was so anxious for the parade to start! He even put his little hand over his heart when the flag came by, and after my mom's own heart I got a little choked up! He was so excited for all of the people that were throwing out candy. He also loved all of the floats. Brynnley was pretty content to just eat Carson's candy (mainly smarties and suckers). She did get excited when smoky the bear and Elmo came by. She would point and yell loudly to make sure I saw them as well. We had so much fun and it was great going with the family!

Afterwards we came back to our house and had some lunch and let all the kids play outside in the water. The best part about renting the slide for Carson's party is that they said they could not come pick it up until today, so we actually had it for an extra day! So all the kids and adults were loving it! Plus it was much warmer today so it was a little more fun!

Even my brother and my brother in law decided to join in on the fun. All the boys were having more fun trying to propel themselves up the slide. They only had a little success, but lots of fun trying!

While the boys were trying to warm up they had a squirt gun fight. By sheer luck we had exactly three squirt guns! It was pretty fun to watch!After two days of water slides you are bound to be tired. This is how are day ended, Popsicles and trying to dry off!
