Labor Day fun

For Labor day my whole side of the family went down to my parents house. They live in the canyon in a "resort". It has a lot of fun things to do and is located in the beautiful mountains.

We went down really early Saturday morning and were only able to stay until Sunday afternoon. So we really squeezed as much in as possible! The men played golf on Saturday afternoon, they have a 9 hole golf course at the resort. I had asked if Carson could go, he has been dying to go on a real golf course and use his clubs. I told Kyle to call me when he got bored, expecting him to last maybe an hour. 3 hours later they all came back. Carson had a blast and lasted the whole time. Kyle said it was a lot of fun. While the men were golfing I had put together a craft for the girls. We made some super cute and easy modge podge frames. I think they turned out really cute and it was fun to all "craft" together.
The men all left late afternoon to head up to go to the BYU vs. Washington football game. All the women and kids stayed behind. The kids played toys, watched movies, played in the sand, and we did some water ballons. My mom and I also took Carson and Brynnley on a 4 wheeler ride. Brynnley has been asking every single day for the last week when we are going to ride the 4 wheelers. My kids love them! After dinner we took the kids out to look at the deer. My parents neighbors spend a lot of money just on deer food. It's nice for when we are there because you can almost guarantee to see some deer!
It was a really hot day so once it cooled off that night the kids had some ice cream bars and ate them outside. They all wanted to play in the sand and in the swings as well. Nothing beats yummy chocolate ice cream and playing in the dirt!My parents had rented one of the on site cabins for our family and my brother and his girlfriend to sleep in. I was a little nervous because it was a loft meaning Carson and Brynnley would be sleeping together and free to roam around. It was a little nightmareish that night. I think Kyle and I maybe got about 4 hours of sleep. My kids are fabulous sleepers, but not so much when they are not in their beds! But we all survived the night! Even Uncle Jarom who got woken up by little kids!I took Carson and Brynnley to my parents sacrament meeting (Kyle stayed home with germ free-sniffly McKay). I forgot how quiet regular wards are, I swear you could hear a pin drop. I kind of missed my loud child filled ward!
After church we headed home for lunch. The Randall family staple of Pork chops and mashed potatoes (one of my all time favorite meals!) My dad also gave us a short family message, he must have been truly inspired because he said some things I really needed to hear!
We had so much fun playing, laughing, eating, and just hanging out. The kids LOVED being with their cousins. Carson and Enoch were best friends, and Brynnley had another girl to hang out with in Kate. (The two pairs were always together!) We also were able to spend some time with my brother Jarom's girlfriend before she leaves on her mission! She is adorable and so much fun!!
It was such a fun trip and so much fun to all be together in one place!
