Grandparents day

 So every year we celebrate Grandparents day because I feel like my kids are blessed with amazing Grandparents. However the holiday scheduling/calendar people really threw me off this year! It is always at the end of September so I started to make plans for it for the end of the month. I was surprised when it showed up in the beginning of September. So we had a belated Grandparents day.
The kids also celebrate Grandparents day at their school. Carson was able to take both Grandma and Grandpa Ford to his class in the morning. They took a picture, had some muffins, he showed them around the classroom and they filled out these papers.

 Brynnley was able to have Grandma Ford at her classroom. They traced handprints and the kids sang them some songs. The Grandparents were suppose to bring a book to read to the kids as well. Grandma bough Brynn a brand new fancy nancy book, but they ran out of time to read it. She loved having Grandma there and getting a new book.
We celebrated Grandparents day in our house last Sunday. We had a yummy dinner of steak and chicken, cilantro rice (Grandma's favorite), watermelon, corn, and peaches and cream pie (Grandpa's favorite)

 Every year the kids make a present to give to Grandma and Grandpa to. We actually did two presents this year. We gave a picture to Grandma, Grandpa, and Great Grandpa Hubbard that was a framed picture of our whole family in Este's park Colorado. The homemade gift we made was the kids decorated a kitchen towel. Carson and Brynnley drew on the towel with fabric markers and then they put their handprints on the towel in paint. McKay helped with the handprint as well. The towel's turned out really cute, but of course I forgot to get a picture.

 The kids also colored the wrapping paper for their presents. Carson colored his especially for his best pal Grandpa Ford.

 I have said it before and I will say it again, my kids are incredibly blessed with amazing Grandparents. For us they are such an amazing support and we literally could not get on in our lives with out them. Things are so busy and so crazy especially since McKay came into our lives that we have had to become more reliant on others help, especially our parents.
They are always willing to help in any way that they can and are always selfless with their time when it comes to their Grandkids.
We are so grateful to Kyle's parents for letting us live with them right now. If you asked my kids right now if they want to move out I am very positive they would say no. They see their Grandparents every day and love every minute of it. Grandparents are always just more fun than parents. They are a great help to us and I hope they know how much we appreciate their love and contineued help and service.

My parents are currently serving their third mission but we feel their love from Africa. They try very hard to keep up with our very busy lives and keep up with what the kids are doing. We appreciate their service and know they are doing the right thing right now. I know my kids feel their love from Africa and anxiously await their return. It is a pretty common occurrence for Brynnley to fall asleep with her picture of Grandma and Grandpa Randall in her arms. (P.S. we have a towel for you to, made especially for you)
