We had a fabulous 4
th of July weekend. It was completely full of fun and family! On Saturday morning we woke up really early to go down to Provo to go to the balloon festival. My kids were so excited to see the balloons, we were lucky enough to get there in time to see them inflate this year.

It was kind of windy so we spent a lot of time waiting for the wind to die down so the balloons could get off. They all finally got inflated and 3 of them got off then the wind picked back up so the rest deflated. It was a little anti-climatic, but still lots of fun. It was fun to see all the
balloons and eat breakfast with the Randall family.

Afterwards we drove back to
Lehi and went to my sisters house. We brought all of our fun water toys for the kids to play with. It was still a little windy and chilly but somehow the kids didn't mind.
Brynnley is part fish so she will swim even if her lips are blue. Carson will get in the water then as long as there is a warm piece of cement for him to warm up on he is good to go. The kids loved the little pool. Poor Kate wanted to just sit in it, but
Brynnley loves to jump and splash around. They kind of have opposite personalities.

We also brought our slip and slide over. We hooked it on at the bottom of their slide and got everything all wet. The kids loved it, they came flying off the slide and slid until the bottom of the slip and slide.

We went home and all took some much needed naps! After naps we headed up to the Ford's for a 4
th of July BBQ. It was a lot of fun and very yummy! McKay had had all the 4
th of July fun he could stand so we headed home to get him to bed. That evening everyone headed over to our house for dessert and fireworks. We had a big ice cream bar for everyone to snack on while we had fireworks. Kyle was in charge of all of the fireworks, as usual he did a great job picking all the "legal" fireworks out.

Carson loved every minute of fireworks. He had been asking 3 times a day every day for the past few weeks how long until we were doing fireworks. He just sat there the whole time while we were lighting them off, mesmerized and asking which one was next. Most of the other kids were a
little too scared of all of them. Especially the super loud ones.

Afterward we did sparklers, and all the kids loved them. We also had pop its and glow sticks for all of the kids as well. It was a lot of fun to have so many friends and family over. Hopefully next year it isn't as chilly and windy!

On Sunday evening we went over to my sisters house again for a BBQ with all of the
Randalls. It was super yummy food and so much fun to just visit. It is great to have my parents back for all the fun and holidays!
We had a wonderful weekend, I don't think it could have been much better! I love all of the fun the 4
th of July brings and the wonderful spirit of America that comes with it.

Fun! I am sad we missed it!!
What a great weekend! I remember how sad I was last year when we were gone for the 4th of July! Loved being there with everyone! I even loved singing Happy Birthday to America! I'm even more glad to be an American this year. You only have to see the line of people at the American Embassy hoping to get visas to appreciate how blessed you are to have an American passport. God bless America!
Wonderful pictures to remember a great family outing-Love your new post picture of the kids.
LOVE GRANDPA RANDALL
Glad you had a good time! We went that morning to the balloons and were bummed that they didn't all take off.
