4th of July

We had a great 4th of July this year! We started it off by going to the balloon festival down in Provo on Thursday morning. I thought Carson would love to see all of the hot air balloons. Sadly they got off to an early start and so we missed them all inflating and only one made it back to the frield. But it was still fun to be with friends. When we got home Brynnley was exhausted, we left our house at 6 am, Brynnley ate at 5 so it was a long morning for all of us. But I took Carson outside to play with his sprinkler and his pool. I think this is by far his favorite summer activity. That afternoon we went with my sister and her kids to the splash park up in Herriman (Our new favorite play spot) It was fun and Carson had fun with his cousin Enoch.
We went over to my sisters house on the 4th for a 4th of July dutch over brunch and it was delicous. Carson had a blast playing at their house too. I think his favorite thing was to play duck, duck, goose on the trampoline (see video below) We had a bbq at our house later that night with lots of family and friends. It was great food, thanks to the grill master Kyle, and great company! We also did some fireworks at our house and it was a lot of fun. All the guys were out in the road lighting fireworks, I think trying to show us all how macho they were. Carson was not so sure about them at first, but he liked all the colors. Not so much a fan of the loud ones. We also went over to the fireworks at Thanksgiving point, we were a little dissapointed though, and it was a very much of a let down finale. But it was a great day and we had so much fun. We were even more excited to be able to spend it with family and friends, and even Kyle!!!
These were my two favorite pictures of the day! I actually got one of them together and Carson is smiling! Plus he is not hitting his sister, which has become a problem latley!
This is James jumping through the fireworks! We all thought he was crazy, his poor son was screaming becasue I think he thought he was going to get hurt! He did come away with a mark on his leg. Kyle jumped in after him too, but I didn't get as good a picture.
